It’s no secret, Ranbir Kapoor is a major football fan! The Bollywood actor also co-owns the ISL team Mumbai City FC. Interestingly, he often takes to the ground to play friendly matches with his Bollywood pals.

Recently, Ranbir Kapoor launched his team’s new jersey at an event and during the same he was asked to name the one person he would never want to play football with. An Indian Express report quoted him saying, “I’ll choose my wife, Alia. Because she’s very competitive. And if I beat her at the game, I know I’ll be hearing about it for a long time and she will really sulk with me. So, I would avoid playing with her.”
The Brahmastra actor agreed that even if Alia wins, it would be his loss, as she would gloat. “So, I am s*****d both ways.”
During the interaction at the recently held event, Ranbir shared that the only thing that gave him an identity during his youth was football.
Recalling his teenage years, the actor said that he was “below average” at everything he did back in school.
“In the 4th or 5th grade, I was pretty below average in everything I did: dramatics, studies. When I joined the school football team, that’s where I really found an identity, a personality for myself. Sports really teach us a lot in life. I remember the first time my name came in the newspaper was because I scored a goal in the inter-school football team from Bombay Scottish,” Ranbir shared. On the professional front, Ranbir has a slew of interesting projects in the pipeline. The actor who was last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, will be next seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, which is set to hit the theatres on December 1.
